Show #20 December 14,2006

In this podcast Chris is the host and reporter Matt used the digital voice recorder and recorded various cast members backstage of the Piped Piper Drama Production. He even recorded some music. Matt put the whole drama segment together for the show. Some of Mrs. Barnes’s students interviewed her about the Geography Bee. There is also news from the office.

  • The chatham middle school news podcast is very imformitive infact i saw that play and i probably wouldn't have if it wasn't in the podcast. Also maybe you could try another entrance next time one the podcast to make it more exciting because hering the same music over and over again get's kinda of boring. Plus couldn't you tell us more exciting things like some stand up comedy or some reflecting on what happened during the school week.

  • Thank you for your comments. Most podcasts use the same intro music, sort of their trademark. We are not allowed to use just any music because of copyright laws. I have been waiting for some royalty-free music to arrive so we can be more creative. Hopefully it will arrive soon!

    A comedy segment sounds like a great idea. I'll have to locate a student who would be willing to produce the segment.

    It has been difficult to get students more involved, they probably need to know that other people are listening before they really get involved. You can help by telling any middle school student what you think of the podcasts and share your ideas with them. Perhaps you can encourage him/her to make a segment.

    Again, thanks for taking the time to write and offering your ideas for future podcasts. I really like your comedy idea!
